Terms and Conditions Applying to Massage Services

Therapist Responsibilities:

  • The massage therapist does not diagnose or treat illness, disease or any other physical or mental disorder.
  • All sessions are given in a non-sexual and non-judgmental manner.
  • Massage therapist is free of communicable diseases, contagious conditions and illnesses.

Client Responsibilities:

  • Please share openly your current symptoms, medications and medical diagnoses.
  • Please state clearly at the start of each massage any areas of the body you do not want touched.
  • Reschedule your appointment promptly if you are experiencing cold, flu or fever symptoms.
  • We will only perform massage on medical patients with doctor’s consent. So please check with your doctor to be certain massage is appropriate.

Client Pre-Massage Preparations:

  • For in home table massages, please consider showering prior to your massage to relax your muscles; be aware that we reserve the right to refuse service for lack of adequate hygiene.
  • Remove glasses, jewelry, and other similar items prior to the session. 
  • Please turn off electronic devices, e.g. cell phones, smart watches and similar devices

Shared Responsibilities During the Massage:

  • Either party can discontinue the session for any reason at any time if they are uncomfortable.

Client Post-Massage Self Care:

    • Drink water to help your body recover.
    • Do perform normal daily activities and gentle movement on all areas worked on unless specifically indicated otherwise by your doctor or the massage therapist.
    • Do not perform rigorous physical activity unless the massage was specifically a pre-event sports massage.
    • Follow additional therapist instructions for self care.
    • If you experience any unusual after care pain, discomfort, numbness or symptoms please contact the massage therapist promptly and for serious conditions we recommend contacting your medical doctor.

    Cancellation and “No Show” Policy:

    • In order to provide quality service to all of our massage clients we must enforce a cancellation and no-show policy. This prevents one client's cancellation or delay from impacting other scheduled clients.
    • A full 24-hours notice is required to cancel a massage, you are responsible for the massage fee for "No shows" without the required notice, you can cancel by call me at the number below
    • If you are late to the start of your session, you will only receive the remaining scheduled time for your massage.
